Helen Yoas

Helen L. Yoas, a Lycoming County native, is the Metadata and Discovery Initiatives Librarian and the liaison librarian to the School of Engineering Technologies, Transportation Division and Diesel Technology & Natural Resources Division. Helen has worked in public libraries in Montoursville, Clarion, and Williamsport, and a university library in New York State, since graduating from Lycoming College with a BA in English and a minor in Philosophy. She has a Master of Science in Library Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Post-Master's Certificate in Digital Librarianship from Drexel University. She is a 2021 graduate of the PALA Academy of Leadership Studies and the Vice-Chair of Penn College's Copyright and Fair Use Advisory Group (CFUAG). Hobbies include reading, needlecrafts, genealogy, traveling with her husband, and occasionally peaceful coexistence with cats.
