Field and clinical experience

A 360 degree, rotating vehicle promotes realistic scenarios and challenging case studies which enable our students to practice vehicle extrication of patients in various positions. A fully functioning ambulance affords students the opportunity to practice advanced life support treatment on scene or during transport in a simulated environment. Within a simulated emergency room setting, students practice assessments and skills utilizing computer-generated patient scenarios in conjunction with simulated mannequin training and state-of-the-art equipment. Paramedic students practice their skills in the Klump Academic Center, in a laboratory outfitted with a fully functioning ambulance. Paramedic students practice vehicle extrication techniques in a 360-degree rotating vehicle. Paramedic students volunteer at the Little League World Series. Paramedic students practice their skills in the Klump Academic Center, in a laboratory outfitted with a fully functioning ambulance. Penn College student uniforms display the Paramedic Technology patch. Field rotations with regional ambulance services and experienced paramedic preceptors provide real world clinical experience.
