Mission Statement

The Radiography program at Pennsylvania College of Technology is an associatedegree program that provides students a high-quality education delivered by experienced instructors. The curriculum includes significant hands-on learning experiences in laboratory and clinical settings, which prepare graduates for successful entry into the profession. The program assists students in achieving their professional goals and promotes the value of life-long learning to ensure that graduates remain productive members of the profession throughout their careers.

  1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of radiation exposure principles.
  2. Students will demonstrate the application of radiation protection principles.
  3. Students will appropriately position patients.
  4. Students will demonstrate the ability to maintain the flow of patients in an assigned radiographic room.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate essential critical thinking and ethical decision-making skills in scenario-based learning.
  2. Students will demonstrate a higher level of thinking and apply critical thinking skills while performing non-routine procedures.
  3. Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills when evaluating radiographic images.

  1. Students will demonstrate professional behaviors in the clinical setting.
  2. Students will demonstrate understanding of importance of staying current in the profession.
  3. The student will evaluate the various opportunities for professional growth within Medical Imaging Sciences.
