The Plastics Mobile Lab provides a user-friendly hands-on STEM educational opportunity for students. Schools and other educational organizations within a one-hour radius of Pennsylvania College of Technology can borrow the Plastics Mobile Lab for:

    • Demonstrations and/or projects in classrooms
    • STEM and other educational events

    An estimated 25,000 family-sustaining jobs in the plastics industry will be added to the Appalachian region in the next five years. The goal of the Plastics Mobile Lab is to build awareness and interest for students of all ages and their families in the many opportunities available in STEM-related fields.

    Borrowers are responsible to pick up and return the equipment to the College. At pickup, Penn College staff will provide instructions on proper use and safety precautions for the equipment.

    Equipment Available

    • Seven Thermoformers, each approximately 14" high
    • One RotoRocket, on a mobile cart

    Each plug into a standard outlet, but it is recommended that not all are used on the same circuit.
