Q&A with Morgan

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ENGINEERING?

I chose engineering because I didn’t want to be doing the same thing every day. And with my degree I will have a new challenge with each design I make.

WHY PENN COLLEGE?

Penn College is one of the few schools that offered my major, Engineering Design Technology. And it was closer to home than the other options and had more lab hours and smaller classes, which I liked.

WHY SHOULD MORE WOMEN BECOME ENGINEERS?

More women should become engineers because it’s fun and it’s a challenge.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR FIELD?

I love using the various CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) software programs.

WHAT'S SOMETHING COOL YOU'RE WORKING ON NOW?

I am currently working on the 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) design that will be implemented to the Baja car during the next race season.

IF SOMEONE WERE INTERESTED IN COMING TO PENN COLLEGE, WHAT MIGHT YOU TELL THEM?

I would say to do it, you get a lot of hands-on experience and can learn a lot here.

Student Experience

"My biggest accomplishment thus far is definitely being voted President of the Baja Club. It is a position I worked really hard to get. And in my free time, I am in the club room either doing design work, working on the car, or just hanging out with the rest of my teammates."
