Q&A with SEKISUI KYDEX

WHY PARTNER WITH PENN COLLEGE?

Our partnership with Penn College has allowed us to help our employees invest in their personal and professional development through the Plastics Innovation & Resource Center (PIRC), hire interns that are the future of our industry, and collaborate on new technology and innovation in plastics.

WHY DO YOU SEEK PENN COLLEGE GRADUATES?

Much like our employees, Penn College students are full of passion, grit, and curiosity. Their inquisitive nature and outgoing personalities make them ideal candidates to fit into our company culture and help us drive the business forward. Just as much as we hope they learn from us, we also learn from them when they join us as not only as interns, but full-time professionals.

HOW HAVE YOU BENEFITED FROM THE CORPORATE TOMORROW MAKERS PROGRAM?

SEKISUI KYDEX is very involved with Penn College and we have many employees connected to the college through different programs and opportunities. Corporate Tomorrow Makers has allowed us to connect those opportunities together to better leverage our partnership.

Industry Connections

"Penn College of Technology has a strong reputation for developing future leaders in a range of technical fields that are highly sought after in industry. The partnership between SEKISUI KYDEX and the college is a significant part of our long-term strategy in several ways. First, we want to continue to recruit Penn College students for summer internships which equally benefits the student and our organization. Secondly, we want to be an employer of choice for future tomorrow makers as they enter the workforce after graduation. Lastly, the Workforce Development programs such as on-site training, hands-on training at the Plastics Innovation & Resource Center, and the apprenticeship programs are all vital for our existing employee development. For these reasons, it makes perfect sense to partner with Penn College.”
