I always wanted to teach, and it took me a long time to get there. To me, that is my biggest accomplishment on a personal level. My biggest reward, however, is having a student reach out to me to let me know that something I said or something I did made a difference in their day.
Without a doubt, the students. Our students have a passion for the professions that they are entering, and they bring those passions to the business classes. It is exciting to watch their ideas and projects become reality.

Who says all the fun happens in class? Getting involved in organizations, like the Penn College Business Club, is an excellent way to network with like-minded students and make the most of your major outside of class time. As advisor to the Business Club, Tammy sparks conversations that get students thinking. The group also hosts speakers and connections with high school students via FBLA.
The best way to learn? Apply your skills to a real-world event. That's exactly what Tammy had her Event Management and Coordination class do. Billed as “Professional Coffee & Conversation,” the event featured a panel discussion by eight employers, who answered students’ questions about job interviews and resumes, communication in the workplace, the top qualities they’re looking for in employees, and more.
Whether you're a Phillies fan or not, you can't beat this out-of-the-park experience. Tammy, Instructor Chip Baumgardner, and four Penn College sport and event management students spent the day getting to know the industry firsthand. The group traveled to Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, where they got an opportunity to network with team executives.
