Industrial

Penn College provides a complete array of advanced technical training to meet the needs of any manufacturer. Our Mechatronics Program bundles essential competencies required for technicians, filling industry’s most widely recognized skills gaps.

Oil & Natural Gas

Penn College offers extensive programming in production for oil and natural gas companies. Many safety, equipment operation, maintenance and other customizable course topics are available.

Online Courses

We have partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of instructor-facilitated noncredit, online courses that are affordable, fun, and convenient. From courses to learn a second language to technical skills to advance your career, there is something for you. 

Plastics

Drawing upon the expertise of renowned instructors and advisors, Penn College delivers solutions to meet the skills gap and consulting needs of companies in all major plastics manufacturing processes.

Pre-Apprenticeships

The Penn College Pre-apprenticeship model provides an overview of the foundational technical knowledge and skills in an industry sector. 

Transportation

Penn College provides training in aviation with a focus on piston engines, and offers training and certifications in several automotive categories.

Other

We offer training in Emergency Response, College Prep, and more, including many testing/certifications options. Other locations include Penn College at Wellsboro, Towanda and St. Marys.

College attains federal ‘Registered Apprenticeship’ status

Pennsylvania College of Technology has been recognized as a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program Sponsor. The college’s advanced manufacturing apprenticeships are already registered through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry; the federal designation provides an additional and elevated status. Apprenticeships help companies train existing workers to fill skills gaps and are a powerful tool for growing the American economy.

EMT course, paramedic program accepting applications

An Emergency Medical Technician course that begins the week of Aug. 19 is accepting registrations. Offered by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Workforce Development, the course will prepare students who are interested in enrolling in Workforce Development’s paramedic certificate program starting on Jan. 6, 2025. The Emergency Medical Technician course will be offered at three locations. Seating is limited.

Open house held at Clean Energy Center's Latrobe lab

Offering an overview of the numerous career pathways in the home energy efficiency industry, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Clean Energy Center lab in Latrobe hosted an open house on Wednesday at its 7,500 square-foot facility at Westmoreland Airpark. The event gave attendees opportunities to watch live demonstrations of home energy efficiency technologies and network with employers and workforce development experts.
