We are a family-owned company founded in 1933. We employ nearly 350 employees across our 10 locations in Pennsylvania. We are large enough to be a force within our industry but small enough to care about each one of our employees.
Sometime in 2010, we attended a career fair at Penn College. We met not only students, but also faculty and staff members from the Diesel Technology program. The partnership started with a few simple conversations and has blossomed into a rewarding partnership.
We have hired several Penn College alumni throughout our company. They continue to develop their skills through our structured Kenworth and Thermo King training program. Recently, we hired Penn College students to work part-time at our nearby Muncy location while they continue their studies. It is our hope to hire these students as full-time employees upon their graduation.
A solid work ethic combined with a willingness to learn and develop. As a Kenworth and Thermo King dealer, our technicians are exposed to cutting-edge technology in the diesel industry. Our structured training program gives our technicians the knowledge they need to stay current and become Kenworth or Thermo King master technicians.

Kenworth of Pennsylvania/Motor Truck Thermo King has been a long-time contributor to Penn College’s diesel technology program. In recognition of their generosity, Penn College named the refrigeration and advanced electrical diagnostics labs in the Schneebeli Earth Science Center the “Motor Truck Thermo King Refrigeration Lab” and the “Kenworth of Pennsylvania Advanced Electrical Diagnostics Lab.”
