Allan Myers Inc., a heavy civil construction and construction materials company operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, will contribute an additional $50,000 annually to a scholarship it established previously at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Preference for the Allan Myers Scholarship is given to full-time Penn College students who are employees/family members of Allan Myers Inc.

Biddle, director of corporate relations at the college.Eligible students must be enrolled in one of the following associate degree programs: heavy construction equipment technology: operator emphasis, heavy construction equipment technology: technician emphasis, surveying technology, civil engineering technology or automotive restoration technology; or in the bachelor degree programs for construction management or civil engineering technology.

The scholarship award typically is split between fall and spring semesters. It is available as early as a student’s first semester, and preference is given to continuing students in subsequent years.

Allan Myers is a longtime supporter of Penn College. The company sponsors an award for the top-performing graduate of the heavy construction equipment technology: operator emphasis major, sponsors and participates in the construction management golf outing, participates on various advisory committees, and has recruited at the college’s Career Fairs for more than 30 years.
