Tune in to WBRE’s “Eyewitness News Daybreak” Wednesday morning for live broadcasts from Penn College’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. WBRE’s Sydney Kostus is set to visit the restaurant, where she will interview culinary arts students live at 5, 5:30, 6 and 6:30 a.m. The students are enrolled in the American Regional Cuisines class, which is preparing a series of dinners in the restaurant that feature the food heritage of various parts of the U.S.: New Orleans, Napa Valley, the Heartland, Southern Style, the Southwest and New England. The students, each of whom will take on the role of sous chef during a dinner, will be joined by their instructor, Chef Amanda L. Farr-Lepper, assistant professor of culinary arts, and Sue A. Kelley, dean of business, arts and sciences. Recorded segments will also be broadcast on WBRE’s “Eyewitness News” later in the day.
