That’s the combined win streak of three Pennsylvania College of Technology spring sports teams.

BASEBALL
Penn College won the first of a three-game UE series at Penn State Berks on Friday, 3-2, as Dallas Griess of Williamsport reached on a one-out single in the top of the 11th inning and scored on a Berks error after Jaiden Augustine of Dillsburg doubled down the right-field line. Griess finished with three hits and two runs scored. Dennis Prestash of Sandy Ridge got the win with two shutout innings in relief.

In Saturday’s doubleheader that wrapped up the weekend, the Wildcats completed a sweep by scores of 8-0 and 11-5 to even their United East Conference and overall records while upping their win streak to five.

Griffin Vollman of Williamsport allowed three hits over seven innings in the first-game shutout. Quinn Hanafin of Sayre went 3 for 3 with two runs batted in and Adam Aldenderfer of Trout Run had two hits and plated three runs.

Griess’ three-run home run highlighted a five-run fourth inning in the second-game win. Also for Penn College, Jaydon Goebel of Honey Brook went 3 for 4 with three runs scored, John Croasdale of Milford, New Jersey, had two hits and plated three runs and Augustine went 4 for 4 as relief pitcher Ethan Eckard of Cogan Station picked up the win.

SOFTBALL
Hosting Gallaudet University in a UE twin bill on Saturday, Penn College won the opener 8-0 in six innings as starting pitcher Mackenzie Weaver of Montoursville fired a one-hit, 10-strikeout, one-walk gem, and it took the second game 9-2 to extend its win streak to seven.

In the first game, Jesse Brumbaugh of McClure and Lexi Snyder of Hegins each had two hits and drove in one run.

In the nightcap, a four-run first inning highlighted by Weaver’s three-run homer propelled the Wildcats. Fayth Anderson of Lykens was in command on the mound for Penn College as she struck out 13, walked one and gave up four hits.

Also, Weaver and Grace Lorson of Jersey Shore were named the United East Volt Division Pitcher and Player of the Week for March 24-30. It was Lorson’s first career Player of the Week honor and Weaver's fifth Pitcher of the Week honor.

Weaver fanned a season-high 12 Harrisburg batters while allowing two earned runs and tossing her program-record 333rd career strikeout with her final punchout. The junior continued her strong pitching against Abington with her first no-hitter since tossing a perfect game last April 14.

A freshman, Lorson went a combined 8 for 12 (.667) with five runs scored, three RBIs and four stolen bases.

MEN’S LACROSSE
AJ Dotson of Wilmington, Delaware, had three goals and four assists in a 10-4 win as the Wildcats improved to 2-0 lifetime against Marywood University in a nonconference match on Wednesday. Also for Penn College, Aidan McFalls of Gilbertsville had three goals and two assists and Alex Hammond of  Lincoln University made 11 saves in goal.

With its fifth consecutive victory on Saturday at Rosemont College, Penn College matched its program-record win streak set at the start of last season. Sparking the 18-4 United East rout was Jake Small of Bloomsbury, New Jersey, with four goals and one assist, and McFalls, with three goals and three assists. In goal, Hammond made nine saves.

Also, Dotson, a sophomore midfielder, was named United East Player of the Week for March 24-30. He set a program single-game record with 11 points in the Wildcats’ record-scoring 29-6 conference-opening victory over Cairn on April 30. Dotson posted a season-high six goals and five assists on nine shots on goal.

Back home on Saturday against St. Mary’s (Md.) College, the Wildcats lost 7-2 with Kyle Shuler of Williamsport at No. 1 singles and Matt Williams of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, at No. 5 singles getting the wins.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
Penn College dropped a 6-3 decision at Bryn Athyn in a nonconference match on Thursday. Posting wins were Ellen Buckley of Binghamton, New York, at No. 1 singles and Faith Murray of Dillsburg at No. 2 singles. Also, Buckley and Murray combined for a win at No. 1 doubles.

In their UE opener on Friday at Penn State Harrisburg, the Wildcats lost 9-0.

Playing its third match in as many days on Saturday, Penn College lost 9-0 at home against St. Mary’s (Md.) College.
